Environmental Conservation & Community Development

Project Neev
Education & Child Development
Project Neev promotes inclusive education by upgrading schools, enabling digital learning, offering tutoring and mentoring, supporting children with special needs, and providing learning resources to rural, tribal, and differently abled students.
Project Tarangan
Inclusion & Care
Project Tarangan promotes inclusive development by supporting individuals with disabilities. The initiative includes the construction of a 1,000 sq. ft. residential shelter home in Murbad, Thane, which will provide safe accommodation, nutrition, education, and developmental support for intellectually challenged individuals.
Community Initiatives
Alongside our flagship programs, Unity in the Community includes several
initiatives that address broader social needs:
Help a Child Walk
Our PAN-India initiative, ‘Help a Child Walk,’ in collaboration with Centrum Foundation, provides orthopaedic support and assistive devices to underprivileged children affected by polio, limb loss, and cerebral palsy. We have conducted five assessment and fitting camps this year in Garden Reach, Sakya, Pune Apang Vidyalay, Chitradurga and Kolkata, facilitating the provision of more than 500 devices.
Feed the Needy
Under the ‘Feed the Needy’ program, we provide nutritious meals to underprivileged children. This year, we supported 2 care homes in Mumbai for children with special needs.
Shraddha Foundation Partnership
In collaboration with Shraddha Foundation, we support four cancer shelter homes by sponsoring food and rental expenses, benefiting more than 250 patients in Mumbai and Bhubaneswar. We have also donated a shuttle bus for their homes in Mumbai for safe commute of patients to and from the hospital. Through this initiative, we aim to ease the financial burden on patients and their families, ensuring they have access to safe accommodation, travel and nutritious meals during their treatment journey.
Financial Literacy Program
In partnership with Suryoday Foundation, we have launched a year long financial literacy program aimed at empowering 5,000 women living in Mumbai’s slum communities. Through structured camps, regular follow-ups, and continuous engagement, the initiative focuses on building practical financial skills, strengthening informed decision making, and fostering long-term economic independence.
Project Navya
Project Navya focusses on empowering artisans by exposing them to diverse artisanal cultures and enhancing their skills to establish self sustaining enterprises. Navya seeks to promote gender equality, preserve traditional arts and handicrafts, and enhance livelihood opportunities for marginalized communities.
Our efforts include:
- Skill training in trades like embroidery and handicrafts in Pench
- Providing sewing machines and support for families in Pilibhit and Kanha affected by predator attacks
- Launching a four-month tapestry weaving program in the Sunderbans, West Bengal
DISHA Mentorship Programme
In our endeavor to optimize resources, Unity has partnered with Katalyst India, [an award-winning NGO committed to the economic empowerment of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)], to launch the DISHA Mentorship Programme. This initiative is designed to inspire and guide female engineering students by connecting them with experienced leaders who can offer career insights and provide personal support. More than 10 members from our leadership team have volunteered as mentors, dedicating their time and expertise to help these young women build confidence, develop critical skills, and prepare for successful careers in technology and engineering. Through DISHA, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities.
